KInda looks like a Warm Morning or old Sears type stove. Looks like a neat stove.
Kinda looks like this one too. I think a lot of them were similar back then...
Info Wanted for Wehrle Coal Stove

Heck you can bend up some sheet metal for a ash pan.

the guy said it holds about a 5gal bucket of coal - so that means it should burn 18hrs unnatended easily if the stove is tight enuf not to let it run too hot

So - how does your stove do ? Is it up and running yet ? How well does it work ?

This is a circulating stove from the 40's or early 50's. These stoves are designed to burn Bituminous coal since that is commonly used in Tennessee where I am originally from. Anthracite can be burned equally well in these stoves. They are simple, yet very rugged and will produce great amounts of heat. It might or might not have a magazine in it. Even so these stoves hold a huge charge of coal and will burn for many hours. Check to make sure the stove has no stress cracks in the cast iron body under the sheet steel shell. Make sure the doors fit tight and the dampers fit reasonably tight.

I have a similar stove and it is a decent heater. Around here I commonly see them for sale for $100-$150.
This type of stove is not as efficient as a baseburner stove.

Welcome to the FORUM T. Some clear pix of stove--outside & inside will really help.
