I guess I usually get ticked off,p'oed, upset, frustrated,& disgusted when I try to watch a coal stove burning coal & I am forced to listen to some rock & roll or something similar. I want to hear the crackling of the burning coal, maybe even the roar of an intense fire.
I doubt that there would be any issue from any source if the "music" was the sound coming out of the stove,no one could claim "rights" to that. :)

Just thought I would share my opinion & feeling on this issue.
Not looking to start an internet war over it either.

I agree with you Windy, on some peoples choice of music. But in the case I don't enjoy it, I just turn down the volume.

Thanks Windy lol - yeah I've never had a problem using copyrighted music with my videos. YouTube tells me that there is copyrighted audio on my video but they don't seem to care, neither does anybody else. It's not like we're trying to sell a product with their sound track lol, kinda ridiculous it would matter.

I also have a volume control & can turn it off completely but then I can't hear the coal crackle either . :)

I thought the same thing Lee, the one video that I used copyrighted music was from Budapest symphony. Apparently they filed a claim against me using the music so I took it down. Rightfully so, I should have known better. The other claim that ticked me off was when someone claimed the Royalty free music I bought for this purpose. You are correct that Youtube does nothing other than notify you about the copyright music. That is until someone files a claim against it. There are groups of people out there who file these false claims so as to reap the money generated from Youtube. A friend of mine who has thousands of followers had it happen to him. He too buys Royalty free music to produce his videos. Someone falsly filed a claim that it was their music and Youtube sent the money that was suppose to go to Jim to the complaintant. Youtube said Jim would have to take it to court to settle, which would not be economical.

Hey Scott, we must be picking from the same bag. I found the same present on my grate a few days ago. Talk about your
constipation. Could "not" get this thing past the grate, no matter how much poking and pushing. Even tried some Kaopectate, but to no avail. "Ouch".

Not sure how forgiving your Mrs. will be, when she finds you're dumping it on your fine China.

Scott, I've been mixing Lehigh stove and tractors nut since the beginning. Almost 50/50. But yeah, I'm guessing it's the La stove that the huge klinker came from.

This post is for King Coal..... look at the pics KC. They show the base heat damper open and closed. Note what looks like a beak just past the damper handle. This will orient your damper correctly.

The stove is too hot right now to get a interior view from the load door.

And of course I forgot to turn my phone sideways to get the pics right but I think you will get the idea :D

thanks Scott,

one of these handles has it's beak and the other is broken off. either way your pics reconfirm that the present positioning is correct.
