Does anyone know where I can purchase the square ash tubs to fit a 520 ash door.

I don't ,but I will be watching for an answer too..
I get tired of cleaning out the ashes that the round tub fails to catch & I figure if a square or better yet,a rectangular tub would not only catch all the ashes,it would hold more too.

My current tubs are all getting paper thin,so I will soon have to buy some tubs anyway.

Welcome to the forum,

You didn't say where in the world you are But if you are in northeastern PA, Mark's Supply in Shenandoah Has a wide variety of galvanized and hot dipped ash tubs for coal stokers.

Jono Hardware is an ACE hardware store 1/2 mile from me & they stock all kinds of tubs too.I have yet to find any of those mass produced tubs to be the correct usable size tho. The tub pics on Marks site look to be those mass produced tubs.

I know you get tired of me saying it but Freddy makes the best ash pans around. He uses much better materials, too. He makes lids for them, too.

Yeah, you have to pay for shipping but you get a higher quality pan built to actually fit the entire space.

I have 3 of Freddy's pans and will be looking to replace the remaining original Harman pan I have left this year. Lisa

I have also heard great things about Freddy's ash pans. I am not aware of anyone else that makes a square tub that will fit through the ash door of a 520.

I have been very happy with the Berhens 32S tubs that I got a few years ago. Very little ash misses the tubs, made in USA, and about $20 each from Acehardware.

Thanks Rob,Don't you have any ash miss that size ? Either it misses on the front or the rear if not placed in there exactly correct. It's not a big deal, just that I thought a rectangular tub of 18 x 22 x12 would catch all dropping ashes.
$20 each for those tubs is likely less than the shipping would be to get any from freddy.

Hardly any ash misses the tub. I have not cleaned the base out in a 2 years, and this is how it looks today.

Also, I put a small piece of angle iron on my ash diverter to stop the tub in the perfect position.

I believe I would prefer the hot dipped to the plated one. It just seems like a healthier dose of zinc there.
