It was really a shame to place her in the basement but gotta have some heat down there to.The insulated pipe is the air from the blower going into the first floor of my house.That was one of the selling features instead of having the blower blow the air out of the front of the stove your could have it blowing into a 6” duct to a floor register.Insulating it was probably over kill cause of the distance but that’s me..lol

My Mark III Harman Coal Stove. Next to it is the wood pile. The coal is stored in 8 20 gallon plastic tubs, one is shown to the left. The flue is 8 inches, with a 6 inch stainless steel liner. The fan is plugged in on an outlet with it's own switch, so the fan can be turned on/off without plugging in/unplugging the cable. The metal thing next to the thermometer in the third picture is a bucket full of water, it releases moisture into the basement to prevent the humidity level from going to low.

New to forum...this is my Hitzer 503 insert...second year of use...heats an 1800 SF Cape Cod...a little chilly on the outside rooms...go thru about a bag and a half a day...paid about $325/ton for Blaschak nut coal. Located on the big lake in SW Michigan. Lookin at getting a Keystoker next year unless anthracite goes thru the roof.

here is the Harman Mag Stoker..the rheostat on the wall controls the distribution blower that blows heat for the house....I find by lowering it some the air is much hotter coming out of the stove...and use a small room fan to push the hotter air in the room to circulate throughout the hose

Here's a Pic of my old girl.. Got her for free. just needed a couple parts. I plan on painting it this summer. But it's been working great lately once I figured out the restictor plate setting.

Here is a picture of my furnace. I have been able to maintain a constant temp in house no matter what the temp outside, up to 50 degrees. They are calling for 55 degrees in a few days I'll have to see if I can throttle it back enough for that.
